Season's Greetings

I haven't had anything much to say lately, so I'm hoping that 2014 will be fuller of incident. I'm waiting for my sister to arrive and drive me down to her place in Bures, a village half in Essex and half in Suffolk. We, of course, will be on the classier Suffolk side of the river, where they don't go in for this sort of thing...

Merry Christmas, happy new year, and all that.

And to you, Steve. Deck the halls, gloria in excelsis and a partridge in a pear tree.
God rest you, merry gentleman e'en unto the turning of the year.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Steve. All best wishes for now and for 2014.

Bures, eh? It has a fascinating church if I recall (I sat beneath the tree in the churchyard for an hour or so, a few years back, and reflected upon life, etc), and is an interesting place, intertwined with the legends connected with Borley Rectory, not so far away...

Many thanks, Kris, and back atcher. We're just across the road from the church, splendid view from the dining room window.
